First Annual Samaritan Center Food Drive
Our first ever multi-council Samaritan Center food drive is over and we did very well. So well that it's my understanding we'll be doing it as an annual event.Knights of Columbus Councils Involved- Bishop Michael Francis McAuliffe (12992), Fr. Helias (1054), St. Francis Xavier, Taos (6430), St. Martins (7194), Wardsville/Osage Bend (8399), St. Michael’s, Russellville (8916)
We collected 3,100lbs of goods, most of them food items. We also collected $1,700 in cash. Thanks to everyone who was out there in the cold.
Of course our Grand Knight knew that the front of Wal Mart would be in the sun!
Our retired Bishop Michael Francis McAuliffe passed away this past week and our council has changed its name in honor of him and his service as the second bishop of the Diocese of Jefferson City.
It was a historic steak supper this past week as we chartered our Women's Auxiliary and installed the new officers.
We had a great steak supper this week. As usual the food was great. Thank you to everyone who helped.
